![]() What more could you ask for?ĭespicable Me 3 is an entertaining film with witty writing, a good plot and a villain who you won’t forget for a long time, a few lines don’t land well for the younger audience. Julie Andrews has a cameo and voices Dru’s mother in the film which is absolutely priceless and backed up with an 80’s soundtrack throughout you can’t help but tap your foot along to the music. This is something I’m sure all parents can relate to watching this film. The girls being adopted by Gru in the first film allows another side of Lisa to be explored and shows that all she wants to do is be a good mum and be there for her children no matter what. There are cute elements in the film, one of which is Lisa wanting to become a mum to all three girls. There are twists and turns throughout the movie and this is thoroughly entertaining at every point. Gru agrees to go on a mission to find Bratt and get back the diamond that he stole. Dru always wanted to be the villain Gru was and also like their father. Gru finds out that he has a Twin brother Dru and meets up with him for the first time since birth and a bonding session transpires. Jobless and not fighting crime the Minions want Gru to turn back into the villain he once was but Gru refuses. Back at HQ Gru and Lisa end up getting terminated from their employment. Gru (voiced by Steve Carell) and Lisa (voiced by Kristen Wiig) attempt to thwart Bratt’s evil plans but unfortunately they fail and Bratt gets away with the Diamond. The film starts with its main villain Balthazar Bratt (voiced by Trey Parker) an 80’s obsessed villain out for vengeance because his 80’s kid’s TV show got cancelled because he grew up too quick! So he sets out to steal the world’s biggest diamond from a ship under lots of security. Straight from the off, the film starts with the same laughs, smiles and charm that these movies always bring.
